Profile:

 Dr Hughie Tsang is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and an Ophthalmic Surgeon, who graduated from his medical degree in Queensland in 1998. He has worked in various Ophthalmology Departments of several major hospitals in Queensland and New South Wales over the past 20 years, including The Prince of Wales Hospital, the Sydney Eye Hospital, and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. Dr Tsang has published widely in peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals and had mentored trainee ophthalmologists both within NSW and overseas. 

His regular surgical lists include small-incisional cataract surgery with premium IOLs, pterygium excision with auto-conjunctival graft, glaucoma surgeries including minimally invasive glaucoma devices, strabismus surgery, and paediatric eye surgeries. His research, post-graduate supervisory and investigator roles spanned a wide range of ophthalmology, including but not limited to myopia in children, adult dry eyes, and retinopathy of prematurity. Hughie is involved in NGO training overseas ophthalmologists. He prides in his ability to convey information to patients (and their carers) their eye diseases, such as cataract (including surgery for reducing reliance on glasses), glaucoma, pterygium, dry eyes, and complex general ophthalmology including paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus eye conditions. 

Dr Hughie Tsang is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, including the written Chinese form.
