Profile:
Dr Georgina Clark is a medical retina, uveitis and cataract specialist. She has a particular interest in the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, vein occlusion, uveitis, and cataract.
She earned her medical degree with honours from the University of Sydney, and then completed her Ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital, including a year as Westmead Hospital Senior Registrar. At the Bristol Eye Hospital, in United Kingdom, she earned sub-specialty fellowship qualifications in Medical Retina and Uveitis, working with internationally renowned supervisor Professor Andrew Dick. After her fellowship, she was invited to stay on and worked as a consultant in Medical Retina and Uveitis at the Bristol Eye Hospital. She has extensive experience in the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other diseases of the retina, as well as complex uveitis cases.
Georgina has a strong interest in research, and is a co-investigator on over a dozen clinical trials. She has received a number of prestigious research grants, and awards for her work, both in Australia and abroad.
She also enjoys time with her family, bushwalking and surfing.
